Our Solution
We organize women within the shea value chain, smallholder farmers and youth with interest in agriculture to receive training and access support to increase production, sell more, raise their incomes, and operate sustainably.
Our Empowering The Disempowered (ETD) Model
ETD Model
Our unique model helps our beneficiaries to become empowered. Women shea nut pickers, shea butter makers, small holder farmers and youth with interest in agriculture, once they join us, are able to:
- Access high level skilled training which will enable them move out of poverty (they can earn four times more than their colleagues in the same venture earn)
- Get access to sell their produce and products on both local and international markets at fair market conditions.
- Increase production and yield due to the diverse knowledge they gain from shared know-how and access to modern energy efficient equipments.
- Receive support to stay afloat in times of crisis.
- Have dependents who will benefit from the improved income.
- Access to all year round healthcare through a comprehensive health insurance scheme.
- Opportunities for cultural diversity through exchange programs in different countries.
- Act as drivers to developments in communities and also serve as role models to both rural and urban youth to take up farming.
